Should you want to use the university card to access University of Murcia services, you must previously have installed certain software on your computer.
In Electronic Administration services, it is common to download documents and/or electronic copies in PDF format. For optimal visualization of your electronic signature properties, you must meet the following requirements:
If you are going to use the DNIe, in addition to all of the following instructions, you must also install the software to access the electronic DNIe, developed and maintained by the General Directorate of Police, from the official website of the DNIe.
It is the software that enables access to the electronic certificate that is stored in the University Smart Card (TUI), allowing electronic certificate based procedures to be carried out.
The software for the University Smart Card (TUI) requires the installation of the package .Net Framework 3.5 in Windows. If your version of the .NET Framework is later than 3.5, it can be activated as shown in the following .Net Framework guide.
If in doubt, consult the User manual for the use of the electronic certificate at the University of Murcia.

The certificate manager allows you to manage the certificates stored on your university card.
For security reasons, the university card does not allow you to export or extract the certificate outside the card.
For information on the use of the certificate manager, see the Card certificate manager section of the User manual for the use of the electronic certificate at the University of Murcia.
The University of Murcia dedicates a large amount of effort to making electronic signature possible throughout the majority of the systems and applications available to users of the University itself. The AutoFirm@ signature component is used for that purpose, and it covers almost all the systems available in the University of Murcia.
Below is a list of the operating systems and the versions of different browsers in which the electronic signature has been tested.
[1] Problems have been observed with the electronic signature using the DNIe in Windows 8.1 systems.
[2] It only works with the certificate installed in the system certificate store (Applications -> Utilities -> Keychain Access).
The AutoFirm@ application has been developed by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations (MINHAP) and is part of the @firma Suite of products. It is an application that allows you to electronically sign documents (in PDF and XML format).
In the following links you can see application at startup and electronic certificate when signing .
This application needs to be installed on the user's computer and can be used by different browsers on Windows, Linux and MAC operating systems. It includes all the necessary software for it to properly function. For University of Murcia staff who have access to the corporate network (Novell), the application is available out of the box on their work computers. Any other users will need to install the application.
For more information on installing and using this application, it is recommended to refer to the following AutoFirm@ tutorial.
To obtain information on the use of AutoFirm@ from the applications of the University of Murcia, you can consult this AutoFirm@ manual.
